It only takes six weeks, and when you pass the state exam at the end of it, you'll have a job waiting for you. How long is the training period?
- One week of orientation

What are the hours of the training program?
- The first week of orientation is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
- The six weeks of training is Monday through Friday, 6 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

- Our CNA recruiter will review your application
- After class instructors review it, they will call you to set up an interview
- If you are accepted into the class, we will conduct a background check, provide a health assessment and sign you up for orientation as soon as possible
- A new class begins every four weeks

Will I become a Samaritan employee?
Yes. If you are accepted into the CNA training program, pass a background check and health assessment and uphold the Samaritan values, you will become a paid employee of Samaritan while you are training. Once you successfully complete the training and pass the New York State Certification exam, you will be offered a position at Samaritan.

How much will I make during the training?
- $10.40/hour while in training
- $11.54/hour after becoming a CNA (plus additional compensation if you work holidays, overtime, evening/night shifts, etc.)

How much paid time off (PTO) will I get each year?
24 days
